Global School Partnerships Denmark is an independent NGO and a member organization for schools. We support Danish schools in establishing successful partnerships with schools in other parts of the world in order to:

  • Provide students with an understanding of how their lives and future are interconnected with the lives of children and young people around the world;
  • Strengthen cultural and social understanding in a global setting;
  • Create commitment to global challenges among children and young people.

Global School Partnerships targets both primary, secondary and upper secondary schools.

We are always interested in contact to partners who share our goal of promoting global citizenship among students around the world and who have contact to possible partner schools in other countries.

See our flyer and the list of current partners.

Global School Partnerships Denmark is inspired by similar British school partnership programmes which have shown that partnerships can be an effective framework for strengthening the global perspective in the teaching.

See the evaluation of British school partnership programmes by Institute of Education, University of London: The Influence of North South School Partnerships.

Find inspiration in the teacher guidebook to the project “North-South Connection: Partnerships for a more just world between European and African schools” which Global School Partnerships took part in. The guidebook consists of chapters about Global Education, Globalization, the school partnership method and presents ideas for joint teaching activities categorized by the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which were the overall theme of the project.
